Todays special guest Ifo Ikede African drummer, storyteller, educator, social activist and spiritual guide. Ifo is a proud member of the Isoko people, who are affiliated with the Benin Kingdom. He grew up in the city of Ibadan, in the heart of the Yoruba Oyo Kingdom. He was introduced to traditional African music at an early age, and has been drumming, dancing and acting ever since. He is passionate about using the wisdom of our ancestors to create healthy and healing communities. He is also passionate about technology and has spent the past 15yrs studying and implementing ways to deploy Internet technology to empower communities while connecting the Afrocentric traditions of sharing knowledge with the "Open Source" movement. Ifo actively works with African, Immigrant and Aboriginal communities, with an emphasis on youth. Helping them to find strength & healing from their cultural traditions.
