Andrea Zislis, The Open Toe Shoe Party

Our guest this morning is Andrea Zislis. Andrea is the Chief Environmental Officer for the Zislis Group. She also works on special projects and charity events. A South Bay native, Andrea was born and raised in San Pedro, growing up playing soccer and surfing, and competing on her high school surf team.After moving to Manhattan Beach in 2001, she worked as a manager for the Zislis' Group's RockN Fish restaurant in Manhattan Beach and later served as Shade Hotel's HR Manager. In 2010, Andrea served on the first Environmental Task Force for the City of Manhattan Beach and chaired the waste and recycling subcommittee which assisted the City with the waste contract renewal. Passionate about the environment and charity work, Andrea splits her time between both while raising four children. Andrea and her husband, Michael Zislis, support many local charities through the hotel as well as the group's South Bay restaurants that include The Strand House, Rock'N Fish, Rock & Brews and Circa.Shade Hotel is hosting the fifth annual Open Toe Show Party on Sunday, April 14 for the One Small Voice Foundation, which supports cutting edge research on a leading cause of blindness in children: optic nerve hypoplasia, or ONH.
